One time I told my Dad that I kinda felt bad that we grow tobacco and that it’s bad for people.. and he told me.. “MelbaDale it pays your bills and you don’t force anyone to use it!”
True story… Bacca money definitely pays our bills and no one in our home uses it and we definitely don’t force anyone else too. Tobacco is very labor intensive and we are super thankful for the men that help us make it happen. Curing it is a work of art and I have loved watching my husband take it over. I’ve even learned how to change temperatures on the barns for him when he’s super busy. It’s nothing like a crisp fall morning and the sweet smell of tobacco in the barns! 🍂 💛 My babies are proudddd farm babies and will want me to put this on a shirt their size! 🥰
