About Us
My name is MelbaDale! My dad named me after my sweet grandma Melba Eloise and my wonderful mama, Robi Dale. Im an old soul and serious homebody! I believe time is a precious gift and I absolutely believe in the power of prayer.
My mama always said I needed to marry a farmer. I'm so thankful I did and that he is my very best friend! My mama says, "I just love Ryan's joy for life!" He's a big kid and I hope he never grows up! Our 9th wedding anniversary will be June 1st!
We have three farm babies! Wesley June is 7, Jeter is 4, and Robi Joelle is almost 1! ❤️
My parents, and my brother and sister are my best friends. I'm so thankful we all live close and get to raise our kids together!
Im a hot mess and definitely not a super planner but I thought for sure I'd build a house in the "triangle." I had my spot picked out by about the age of 10 on where I was going to live on my family's farm. My Grandiddy said, "well what if whoever you marry doesn't want to live up here?" "Then I won't marry him," I said. I was wrong. I married him and moved to his farm.
My parents both taught school. My family helped my Grandiddy get up square bales of hay in the summers. I went to college to teach Elementary school. I thought for sure I'd teach 40 years like both of my parents. I thought I would take my kids to school with me and spend the summers with the kids helping Ryan on the farm.
Nope. Four months after we had baby #2 he had RSV twice and was super sick. I missed a ton of work and that Christmas Ryan said, "You're right. We gotta do something different. We will make it work if you want to come home." He had told me I could quit work.. but I felt guilty. My parents had paid for my college and coming home wasn't part of the plan. I prayed so hard. I felt so guilty and prayed for signs. I taught with my mama and my sister in law and I loved it! My mama reminded me to make sure I was paying attention to God's signs and I came home! It has been such a blessing. When COVID hit I was able to keep my nieces and nephews while they were out of school. I ended up homeschooling my own and helping Ryan more on the farm!
I've always loved taking pictures and documenting everything! 📷 I've been making videos because we love to look back on them and I think they will be neat for our kids to have one day! I always worry that I put too much on social media but my parents said, "Maybe your pictures will encourage someone else to be good to their children or grandchildren!" So I'm sticking with that and hope they bring you some joy!
Since I came home from teaching I live in tee shirts!! I hope the faith tees will help witness to others and I hope my farm tees make you smile!
